The 25th homestay program was kicked off on November 9th.

We plan to hold 10 orientations for the day of departure on March 20th.


After the ceremony, we had a short meeting and decided the leader and sub-leader.
The team decided leader is Yuna Kato, and the sub-leader is Kota Yamauchi.

TIA's annual activities are published in photographs.
Please come to the foyer of the town hall until the 10th.

Speech Contests

September 7
The 14th Japanese Speech Contest by Foreigners and
The 18th English speech contest by Junior High School Students was done.

Two Filipino junior high school students spoke in Japanese and 21 junior high school students spoke in English.

They showed their ideas about club activities, friends, families and Tatsuno Town.
Five judges scored 60% by talking way and 40% by contents, and the ranking was determined by the total score.

Harumi and Yuxia from the Philippines received a special jury award.

In the English speech, Yuna Kato was ranked first.

Yura Ohtsuki and Luis Hamada was chosen for the second prize and Junna Nakaya for the third prize.

Everyone was a great speech.

The 14th Japanese Speech Contest by Foreigners
The 18th English speech contest by junior high school students
が行われました。
2人のフィリピンの中学生が日本語で、21人の中学生が英語で、スピーチをしました。
部活のことや、友人のこと、家族や辰野町についてそれぞれの考えを披露しました。
5人のジャッジが、話しぶりで6割、内容で4割の採点をし、合計点数で順位を決定いたしました。
フィリピンから来たハルミとユウシャには審査員特別賞が贈られました。
英語スピーチでは、Yuna Kato さんが1位に選ばれました。
2位はYura Ohtsuki and Luis Hamada さん、3位はJunna Nakaya さんが選ばれました。
みんな、すばらしいスピーチでした。
おめでとうございます。

Presentations

On July 12th, I gave a presentation at Tastuno Junior High School, to encourage students to participate in an English speech contest in Sep. and a homestay program in March next year .
On the 17th, Ryo- Ono Junior High School gave a similar presentation.

It took about 45 minutes to explain, and after the presentation, I was allowed to take pictures with everyone.

We met them at the HOTARU DOUYOU PARK on Thursday　

Before a meeting with the host families we had a supper in the KAYABUKI NO YAKATA (Thatched Roof Residence). 

On Saturday, we held a BBQ party organized by the International Association at the Weeping Chestnut TreeForest Park.

Some enjoyed putting golf with the suggestion of Mr. Kevin

All members gathered the BBQ party.

Mayor Brian Hana was invited to the opening ceremony of the 71th Firefly Fes.

After the ceremony we enjoyed street walking and reach in Mr. Miura's Live House the OREAD. 

Farewell Party was held on Sunday.

From Tatsuno Town to Waitomo district a black DARUMA was given. 

Sister City Comｍittee gave a Maori Weaving made by Hinearangi Ngatai for T.I.A.

KANPAI !!

The Delegation sang songs. 

The delegation left Tatsuno on Monday.
