Orientation Report

The 4th orientation for the next home stay program was held on 7th Dec. at Tastuno Volunteer Center.
The students learned some Japanese playing : ORIGAMI, OTEDAMA, AYATORI...



TIA directors ware teaching the way of those play with remembering there child age.

Year End Party 2013


We had the year end party in 2013 at a Italian  Restaurant.
The association members and new ALT Alan gathered and had a good time. 
We call these party as "BOHNEN-KAI" in Japanese.
It mean "forget everything of the year" and  to do reset our mind.
We could reset our mind and prepare for the new year !!     

Be happy next year too, all.

ORIENTATION PROGRAM

The new class has been started.
The students learned how to explain themselves in English from Ms Ariga.



Ms. Ariga's interesting and joyful lessons were started.
We T.I.A. members learn with them too :-)

Our Activities

We displayed the photo report at the City Hall.
The high-light of the year is the delegation from Waitomo District.
Over 30 photos showed our valuable activities.





2013/11/02

Orientation Program Was Started

T.I.A. decided next visiting students to Waitomo District.
7 jr-hi school students and 3 hi school students were elected for the year 2014.
And we had the opening ceremony of the ORIENTATION PROGRAM.



We hope they will be good exchanging students with Te-Kuiti students.

Autumn Festival of Volunteer Center

We T.I.A. entered in the Autumn Festival on 19 October.
We opened a ODEN and DUMPLING shop.


Many person enjoyed performances and foods at the Volunteer Center.

Japanese Speech Contest and English Speech Contest

We had a Japanese Speech Contest by foreigners and an English Speech Contest by jr.-hi school students, in this year too.



5 foreigners 20 students entered in it.





All foreigners got places and Reona Nakamura got student's 1st place.

WELCOME PARTY at MIKIMOTO

We had a welcome party for new ALT :Daniel and Anthony.

We could have interesting conversations with nice and polite 2 young guys.



I proposed to open a saloon talking with them once in a month.
They teach us English and we teach them Japanese...with tea and cake.

Exchanging with Waitomo Delegation vol.4

The delegation left Tatsuno on Tuesday. We had a small ceremony in front of the town office.  

The 2 mayors promised to meet at the 20th anniversary of sister city's ceremony.

Exchanging with Waitomo Delegation vol.3

Waitomo Delegation visited Tatsuno Town Office, and met the Mayor Mr. Yagasaki.
And had a half day tour in Tatsuno, were in the hospital, schools, and factories.

Exchanging with Waitomo Delegation vol.2

We went to Matsumoto City on Sunday. We walked around the castle.
Exchanging the gifts between Tatsuno and Waitomo.
Tatsuno T. gave a QUILT which Mrs. Murakami made.
Waitomo District gave a STONE ART.


It was a emotionally night for us.

Exchanging with Waitomo Delegation vol.1

We had a BBQ party with the Waitomo District Delegation at Shidarekuri Park.
The 3 young groupes of ONO area gathered and performed traditional dances.
Delegation members tried to dance with them.


Delegation showed us HAKA and taught it to Japanese guys.
We could have a wonderful time, thank you.....

Clean Up The Waitomo Garden

On Saturday, We T.I.A. Tasuno International Association members gathered and worked for the Waitomo Garden in The Tatsuno Dohyo Park.



We cleaned the garden up on Saturday.
See, it has been changed goooood now.
We'll welcome 8 guests from Waitomo next week, and more visitors will come in the Fire Fly Festival 2013. Come and see the garden and carvings !!

the 10th Shiromae st. SAKURA Festival



We hold the SAKURA Festival in this year too.
T.I.A. Chairman Kimihiko Akahane declared  the Festival's opening.

Vice-Mayor Ryutaro Hayashi greeted.


The council chairman Norio Yagasaki greeted.

The members of T.I.A. prepared the foods for the festival.
