5 days with the Wautomo Delegatin

We met them at the HOTARU DOUYOU PARK on Thursday　

Before a meeting with the host families we had a supper in the KAYABUKI NO YAKATA (Thatched Roof Residence). 

On Saturday, we held a BBQ party organized by the International Association at the Weeping Chestnut TreeForest Park.

Some enjoyed putting golf with the suggestion of Mr. Kevin

All members gathered the BBQ party.

Mayor Brian Hana was invited to the opening ceremony of the 71th Firefly Fes.

After the ceremony we enjoyed street walking and reach in Mr. Miura's Live House the OREAD. 

Farewell Party was held on Sunday.

From Tatsuno Town to Waitomo district a black DARUMA was given. 

Sister City Comｍittee gave a Maori Weaving made by Hinearangi Ngatai for T.I.A.

KANPAI !!

The Delegation sang songs. 

The delegation left Tatsuno on Monday.

Our students gathered the sports event on Mar. 23. The News Paper shows all about there activities.

Shiromae St Cherry-Blossom Festival

April 13
TIA conducted the 15th  Shiromae St Cherry Biossoms Festival.
Small shops as a Field and Pork Soup, Chinese Gyoza dumpling were held, and at the stage performance of  Chorus, Dance, Brass Band were performed.
There were also reports and dancing performances by the students who participated in the 24th Homestay Program.

We prepared the festival 

Chief of Education Mr.Miyazawa gave us a greeting.

The town development policy section manager Mr.Ichinose greeted  us as a proxy of the mayor.

 Higashi Primary School students' Chorus Group choired.

The Cheering Meeting

The final curriculum of the Waitomo Homestay Program Orientation was held on 9th, The Cheering Meeting for the delegation was held.

The Mayor Mr.Takei ,the Chairman of the town council Mr.Iwata , the Education Director  Mr. Miyazawa,  many guests and students' family was cheering students.

They introduced teierselves to the guests and audience , and made a speech about the goals at the program.

Finally, they will leave on 20th and will stay at Waitomo from 22nd to 28th and will interact with students at the Centennial Park School.

9日　ワイトモ・ホームステイ・プログラム・オリエンテーションの最終回、派遣団の壮行会が行われました。
武居町長、岩田議長、宮澤教育長はじめ、多くの来賓の方にご出席頂き、生徒の家族と共に生徒を励ましました。
派遣団の生徒一人づつ、自己紹介し、現地での目標などについてスピーチしました。
いよいよ、20日に出発し、22日から28日までワイトモにホームステイし、センテニアル・パーク・スクールで生徒と交流をしてきます。

Role Play & PIZZA PARTY

On 23rd, it was Waitomo homestay orientation. The eighth session is role play.
Three ALTs became the role of school, souvenir shop, accepting family, tried communicating with students in English.

After Role Play we had a PIZZA PARTY :-)

In the next Orientation Program the students will finish rehearsal for the  performance which thay show in WAITOMO.

23日はワイトモホームステイ・オリエンテーション。８回目の講座はロールプレイ。
3人のALTが　学校・みやげ物店・受け入れ家庭の役になりきって、生徒と英語でコミュニケーションを試みてみました。
ロールプレイの後、ピッザ・パーティをしました。
各テーブル、TLT、そのほかのネイティブの方たちと楽しく過ごすことができました。
来週は、”男の勲章”の総仕上げ。　踊りきるまで帰れません！　(笑)

New Year Party

A new annual meeting of the Tatsuno International Association was held in the town's sushi shop "Sushi Tatsu".

Elementary school ALT, Mr. Tyler, Miss Jamaica also invited guests to dinner together with the association's directors, thanking Mrs. Mary Aruga's teaching English conversation to junior high school students always at orientation.
