The ninth lesson of the orientation was the final stage of the performance to be shown at the host school in Waitomo...

In previous years singing and dancing have been the main focus... but this year the members requested a "calligraphy performance."

They rehearsed the demonstration under the guidance of former president Mr. Akahane, who is also a calligrapher.

The character they chose was "love" , a deep kanji with many meanings.

The calligraphy, which took two hours to create, had a strong presence.

オリエンテーション9講座目はワイトモのホスト校で披露するパフォーマンスの総仕上げ・・・

例年は歌とダンスが主流でしたが・・・今年のメンバーからは「書道パフォーマンス」をしたい・・・とリクエストがありました。

書家でもある前会長赤羽氏の指導を受けながらデモンストレーションのリハーサルを行いました。

選んだ一字は「愛」・・・いろいろな意味を含んだ深い漢字です。

2時間掛けて作った「書」は、存在感のあるものになりました。

The eighth orientation program was the final lesson in English conversation...

We tried out role-playing various scenarios, such as a conversation at a host family's house, ordering at a shop, and introducing ourselves at the host school.

Lisa was unwell, so Joe and Tony helped out.

To celebrate the end of the English conversation course, we had our usual pizza party, which was delicious.

 

オリエンテーション8講座目は英会話の総仕上げ・・・

ホストファミリー宅での会話やショップでの注文、受け入れ校での自己紹介など様々な場面を想定してロールプレイ風に試行してみました。

リサが体調不良のためJoeとTonyが手伝ってくれました。

英会話の講座の最後を記念していつものピザパーティー、美味しくいただきました。
